The Parisian Spring Edit

How to Be Chic, Relaxed and Comfortable This Spring

When I am in Paris, I am always inspired by the way French women make simple clothes look so stylish. Their outfits rarely feel overdone. They choose beautiful, practical pieces, wear them in a relaxed way and add just enough personality to make the look their own.

This is the inspiration behind my new collection: a Parisian edit of spring staples that are classic, but never boring.

At the heart of the collection are three new pieces I particularly love: the midi poplin skirt, the wide leg cotton pants and the shirt dress. They are all stylish, comfortable and easy to wear, with that little twist that makes them feel modern.

The Midi Poplin Skirt

The midi poplin skirt has become a true wardrobe staple.

It has the femininity of a skirt but still feels relaxed enough for everyday life. The cotton poplin gives it structure and movement, while the midi length makes it easy to wear with flats, sneakers, loafers or sandals.

The Wide-Leg Cotton Pants

They feel light and relaxed, but the wider shape also gives them a modern, elegant look. The secret is to balance their volume with a more defined top. Wear them with a cotton blouse tucked in loosely, a fitted T-shirt or a shorter cardigan that finishes near the waist.

Comfortable enough for every day but still chic enough for lunch or an evening out, they are exactly the kind of versatile piece I love having in my wardrobe.

The Shirt Dress

The shirt dress has that same effortless quality.

What makes a shirt dress interesting is always in the details: the cut, the volume, the sleeves and the way the fabric moves. These small twists give a classic piece a more modern and individual feel.

How to Dress for Spring

For me, the perfect spring outfit needs to achieve three things: it should feel chic, relaxed and comfortable.

To Make It Chic

Choose one piece that gives the outfit structure. It could be a crisp poplin skirt, a beautifully cut shirt dress or a blouse with an interesting collar or sleeve.

To Keep It Relaxed

Avoid making every part of the outfit feel too polished. Push up the sleeves of your shirt dress, leave the collar slightly open or tuck your blouse loosely into your skirt. Wear a feminine skirt with sneakers or loafers instead of heels.

It is often this contrast between polished and casual that gives an outfit its Parisian feel.

To Stay Comfortable

Comfort begins with fabrics and proportions. Cotton feels fresh and breathable as the weather becomes warmer. A skirt with movement, a softly cut dress or jeans with a comfortable fit will allow you to move through your day without constantly adjusting your clothes.

Spring layers should also be light and easy to remove. Add a cardigan, knit or jacket in the morning, then carry it over your shoulders when the temperature rises.

Classics With a Twist

I have always believed that the best wardrobes are built around classics—but classics still need to feel current.

A poplin skirt with the right volume feels fresh and modern. A shirt dress with an interesting cut feels completely different from a basic dress. A cotton blouse in a light colour, or with a touch of bright red, can bring new energy to jeans you have worn for years.

These are not pieces you will wear once and forget. They are designed to become part of your wardrobe and to be styled differently as the weather changes.

The Parisian Approach

Parisian style is not about being perfectly dressed all the time. It is about finding the right balance. A feminine skirt with comfortable sneakers. A shirt dress with casually pushed-up sleeves. A beautiful blouse worn with your favourite jeans. One polished piece, one relaxed detail and clothes that feel good enough to wear all day.

This collection is my edit for spring: feminine but practical, polished but relaxed, classic but always with a twist.

Because looking chic should never mean sacrificing comfort.
